Milan Design Week 2026 offered The House of Lyria the opportunity to take part in a series of projects across the city, each one exploring a different way in which textile can enter space and shape its atmosphere. From intimate interiors to more experimental contexts, our materials moved through diverse settings while remaining tied to the same vision: fabric understood not as decoration, but as presence.
At L’Appartamento by Artemest, a selection of The House of Lyria pieces entered a refined interior composition, where materials and craftsmanship came together in a quiet, cohesive language.
In Frames of reality, curated by Barbieri Magalini with Giulia Taglialatela, our textiles and accessories contributed to a suspended domestic setting shaped by softness, contrast and imperfection.
Our collaboration with Uma Wang brought textile into dialogue with fashion, in an encounter between the brand’s refined sensitivity to fabric and our own poetic approach to imperfection.
For Tacchini at Salone del Mobile.Milano, our fabric wall covering moved into the architectural dimension of the stand, transforming textile into surface, rhythm and spatial presence.
At SaloneSatellite, Sakinah was presented as the winning project of Academy Week 2025, developed through Lyria’s research programme: a chair conceived as a personal retreat, where textile, light and structure come together to create a space for pause, balance and introspection.
Together, these projects offered different interpretations of a shared idea: that textile can do more than complete a space, it can help define how that space is perceived and experienced.
